A very good question posed Nancy. How do we align responsibilities in the tourism industry to the roles that need to be played in regard to social media.

In my view, everyone is 'in marketing'. How do we empower everyone at every level of an organization to take responsibility for different things:
-media / p.r. has been turned on it's head by websites like Help a Reporter Out
-reputation management takes new forms as travelers share their stories. Who's monitoring?
-instant publication of stories using a wide variety of media, puts the power of transformative conversation in anyone's hand. Who's hand should it be in? Who in our organization has the best skills to make use of these new tools?
- How do we look at the interaction of the roles each person plays?
