It is with great sadness that today I am writing about a truly wonderful colleague Dale Mumford who passed away before his time. Dale was a sweetheart with an infectious laugh and a gifted talent for story telling. His passion for Canadian Heritage, in particular the history of Fort Rodd Hill and Victoria was a 35-year asset to Parks Canada where he shaped the stories, presentation and celebrations that visitors enjoy daily at Fort Rodd Hill National Historic Site. I had the pleasure of meeting Dale over 15 years ago and our careers crossed paths many times. His passing is a loss to his family and the tourism family. Our hearts go out to his family, and all who new Dale and enjoyed his company – personally and professionally. You will be missed.
