It takes passion

by Nancy Arsenault on July 20, 2012

Inspired by what I read this morning from social media guru Brian Solis.

“What it is you see. What it is you feel. Where it is you want to go and why. These are the things that matter. The gift of perspective is matched only by the gift of perseverance. As you seek to change or improve “what is” and set out to bring “what could be” to life, you will be met by the champions of mediocrity who do not wish to align with your vision. Remember, it is passion and persistence that outlasts resistance. But, it takes courage… It takes courage to endeavor in a new direction where you’re greatest allies, passion, hope, vision and optimism, are consequential yet intangible. Their value however, is well, in the eye, heart, and mind of the beholder.”

B2B thoughts as you head into your weekend:

1.  How does this apply to your business?  What do you customers see?  Feel? Want to go and why?   Can you clearly answer these!

2.  How is you passion aligned with ‘things that matter?

I was delighted when I received an email from Jerry Bryne this morning, owner/operator of Ocean Delight Cottages in Newfoundland who shared a success story. Having taken the “Edge of the Wedge’ experiential travel training to enhance his business and implemented his learning (music to my ears).  “Wow!  We made a difference!  How great is that!  It is all about creating an experience, according to GMIST.  This proves they are right.”  He was speaking of an incredible experience he had offered for a set of special guests that was awesome!   Congrats Gerry!

My husband and I spent ten nights at Ocean Delight Cottages, it was our 41st anniversary, and what a great time.  The cottages were beautiful, the view was to die for and Jerry, Laurelyn, and ofcourse Joe Friday, gave us the best days of our trip.  We were so impressed we not only will be going back, but will be looking for land, to retire.  The people of Newfoundland are the best.  Thank goodnes for my daughter and son-in-law who brought us to this beautiful place.  Thankyou again Jerry.  Iris and Don Vanderveen, Thunder Bay on
